Happy June 2026 – Quilt Update

Posted on June 1, 2026June 1, 2026 by Jane Hauprich

Happy June everyone!! Where has the time gone this year???

I wanted to give you an update on what’s been going on, plus some exciting news!!!!

First, I have had two new grandbabies. One the end of December 2025 and one the end of February 2026. What an exciting time and it sure makes this grandma (Gigi) heart full!!! The one born in December lives here with me and my daughter, so it has been quite the adventure!!

Secondly, I had to have a surgery the end of April that is taking some time to recover from. I am not one to sit still long, so this has been a chore in itself!!! I hope to be back to 100% within the next few weeks. Quilting for others has been sporadic and as I feel up to it.

I recently participated in the Move The Needle Quilting Summit, which was a free online quilt summit with 21 teachers. I have been turning offers down to do Online Summits for a couple of years, and I am so happy I finally did one!!! I had so much fun and the information that was offered from all of the instructors was amazing. For all of you that signed up for my blog from the Move The Needle Summit, I thank you for being here!!

The good news is that I will be participating in at least one or two more summits this year, and will be sure to post about them here and on my social media. I mean, who doesn’t like to learn more quilty stuff…..especially if it’s free!!!

And now for the really fun news…..Island Batik (a division of Lumin Fabrics) gave me another new fabric line. This fabric collection was curated by Jerry Khiev for me!! I have had so much fun making new quilts and quilt patterns, which I will be sharing next week sometime!!

This fabric line has been so much fun to work with!! Its super bright and so vibrant!!

I have a great group of friends who have also made quilts with this line of fabric and I cannot wait to share all of them with you!!!

Not only that, but there will be a giveaway, so make sure to follow along for a chance to win!! More information on that early next week!!

Thanks for following along with my journey!!!!

Great new line, Jane! Congrats. Praying your recuperation continues along well and you heal completely! Take good care of yourself. I joined the summit all access but haven’t had a chance to visit the site yet. I look forward to seeing all the fun and learning new things when I have a chance to slow down! Grandbabies are wonderful! My three are no longer babies which makes me a little sad. Enjoy them as they grow up way too quickly!

Congrats to Gigi and welcome to the new grandbabies! I hope you are healing well from your surgery.
I did enjoy the Move the Needle Summit sessions. There were so many fine Quilters with really good suggestions and clever free motion Quilting designs. I will look forward to you being a part of other Summits.
Your new fabric line is awesome! I love the vibrancy of the colors. I am especially fond of the orange tones. Looking forward to seeing it in person!

Loved your Beyond Swirls class! Helping me to think outside the box by just changing small things in a design to make a whole new look! Love your teaching!

Congratulations on your grandbabies!!! The spice of life! Sew much FUN!

I purchased the full 3 day event “Move the Needle Machine Summit” because I knew I couldn’t do it all at one time! Now I can go back and review over and over! 🙂

These new fabrics are beautiful and so light and bright! Can’t wait to see what to make with them! Thank you for the update. Looking forward to next week!
