Flower Pot Blog Tour with The Inquiring Quilter

Posted on October 1, 2024September 24, 2024 by Jane Hauprich

Today is my day on the Flower Pot Blog Tour!!

The Island Batik Flower Pot collection is a Signature Collection by Kathy Engle for Jennifer Fulton of Inquiring Quilter. It is just gorgeous!!!!

I had a project in mind, so I had Jennifer send me these fabrics.

Well, I ended up not wanting to tackle the original project, so I went with my “go-to” quilt pattern, which is a tossed nine patch (also known as disappearing nine patch).

I had fun playing with all of these colors and I added the yellow fabric from my own Island Batik stash!!

I then quilted this with a digital design and put binding on. Here is the result of that. This will make a nice lap quilt or a baby quilt.

Here is a little better picture showing the quilting. I used a flower motif as I felt it matched the name of the fabric line!!!

Make sure to head over to Jennifer’s website, as she is having a great giveaway that you won’t want to miss!!! Click here to enter!!

This is such a happy quilt. It will make a great gift for a new baby. I love the flower edge 2 edge. Is it an exclusive Prostitcher design or is it available individually? It would be a nice addition to my collection. It gives good coverage and looks like it would be run quickly, just the type of design I like for charity quilts.
