Well, I don’t know about you, but this year just seems to be flying by, and to think that it is now the end of June is crazy to me!!!!
I post a lot of quilts and quilty things to my Facebook and Instagram accounts, however, I realize that not everyone is on social media, so I am going to try to do a post each month with pics of the quilts that I have had the privilege of quilting that month.
This month, I was able to get two custom quilts done.
The first one is from Beth, who did this beautiful log cabin quilt, which was based off of a pattern from Edyta Sitar – Laundry Basket Quilts. We decided on a wool batting for this to give the quilting some great texture and since this will be a bed quilt, it will drape nicely across the bed.

Next up is this Temperature Quilt by Mimi. There is no pattern for this one. She was influenced by one that Bethanne Nemesh (White Arbor Quilting) designed. Here is the before picture. It always amazes me how much the quilting transforms the quilt.
The feathers were foundation pieced and then sewn onto a piece of linen. I used two layers of batting (cotton and wool), which really made the quilting pop. Mimi did a faced binding on this quilt and hung it right away in her home. It looks wonderful!!!

I did post a new video on YouTube, so if you want to check that out, please head over there.
Upcoming news:
I am going to participate in another free online summit for free motion quilting, in August. I will share more details about that as it gets closer.
I will be teaching a couple of classes at Spring Water Designs in Columbia, MD soon. In September, I am teaching a Beginner Free Motion Quilting class on domestic machines. In October, I am going to teach a hands on longarm feathers class. For more information on that, please head over to their website.
As always, thanks for following along in my journey!!!
Happy Quilting!!
