I can only speak for myself, but my main reason for teaching is because I have such a love and passion for free motion quilting, and I want everyone to love it as much as I do.
It pains me when I hear students tell me that they took a class and were so overwhelmed that they just gave up.
Please don’t give up. It’s all about getting comfortable with free motion, and allowing yourself time to practice.
Let’s face it…..with pretty much everything in life, you have to practice before you get good at something.
Well….here is a great example. One of my students from the AQS Charleston show, went right home after class and started putting her free motion skills to work. Yay!! She sent me these pictures.
From April
I tell my students to carve out at least fifteen minutes a day to practice their free motion.
It just warms my heart when they do it and begin to see what they can accomplish!!!
From Kathleen
When a previous student tells me that I took the fear out of free motion for them and that they now love it, it reminds me of why I teach!!
So……..Keep on practicing!!!!😁
