Island Batik came out with a fabric line called Turtle Cove, which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it.
This Signature Collection by Kathy Engle for Kari Nichols of Quilting Renditions, is so full of rich and vibrant blues and greens. And those turtles are just adorable!! This fabric line is shipping to shops soon.
Once I saw the fabric line, I knew that I needed to make a turtle of some sort.
I am so excited to be releasing my Swim Turtle Swim pattern.
A little bit about this pattern. This is something new for me, as it is a raw edge fusible applique wall hanging. I have to admit, that it is a little fussy to cut out all of those pieces, but in the end, it makes the most adorable wall hanging for the Sea Turtle lover in your life!!! I really enjoyed the entire process of making this!!
My pattern comes with two full-size diagrams. One is a layout image page and one is a reverse image page. There is also written directions, a coloring page and a fabric requirements page.
While I had fun making this pattern from the Turtle Cove collection, you can definitely make this from your own fabrics. I do recommend using Batik Fabrics though, as they tend not to fray.
The wall hanging will measure approximately 22″ x 24″ when completed, with the personal options of increasing or decreasing the size of the pattern, if you desire.
And here is my finished quilt!! I am so happy with it!!
If you are interested in purchasing the pattern, it is available on my website, and also on my Etsy shop. Not only am I carrying this pattern, but I am happy to say that many quilt shops have also ordered this to carry in their shops!! I am so excited about that!!
I already have plans for more projects like this one and can’t wait to share them with you in the future!!
Thanks again for following along on my quilting journey!!!
Happy Quilting!!
This is very cute, Jane!
Love it!
