I am having a hard time believing that Summer 2017 seems to be coming to an end very quickly!!
I am busy getting ready for teaching at the Fall Paducah Show, which is only a couple of weeks away (OMG!!!!), but I thought I would at least do a short post and show you some of the lovely quilts that I had the opportunity to quilt this Summer.
This quilt was done by Pat Hersl. I love this quilt. My applique ruler really helps get your stitching close for quilting around applique!
This next quilt was made by Janet. She did a beautiful job with this and the colors are just amazing and so summery!!!
This quilt was made by Ellen and was the Mystery Quilt from Peggy’s Sewing Center. It now resides on my Mom’s bed and she loves it!!!
This mini that I quilted is taken from Helen Godden’s Quilt-A-Doodle-Do book!! Isn’t it adorable!!!
Here is a cute little project. I deconstructed silk flowers, and rearranged them on a fabric sandwich, then placed organza overtop and quilted away!! It was a lot of fun!!
This anchor quilt was designed by Pat’s husband and appliqued and pieced by Pat. Then I had the pleasure of quilting it! Great job, Pat & Ron!!!
This anchor quilt was made by Ellen for a family member. The pattern was from Tula Pink and is a free pattern on her website. It is absolutely stunning!!!!
Cathy’s flannel and wool quilt was a pleasure to quilt. This is called My Crazy Life from Lisa Bongean. Congrats to Cathy as she won “Reserved Grand Champion” and a “First Place” at the Queen Anne County Fair for this quilt.
I’d also like to congratulate some recent winners…..Rhonda (Best of Show at Diamond State Quilt Show), Ellen (Second Place at Maryland State Fair), Mary (First Place at Maryland State Fair), Rhonda (Best of Show at Ocean Waves Quilt Guild Show), Ellen (two First Places at Ocean Waves Quilt Guild Show). CONGRATS TO ALL!!!! WELL DESERVED, LADIES!!
If you are coming to Paducah, make sure to stop me and say hello!!! I am teaching six classes and presenting one lecture. Three of my classes are sold out, with the other three having only a few spots left, so come and join me!! For more info, click here.
I will also be at the AQS Des Moines Show the beginning of October, but I will be working in the Superior Threads booth, so make sure you stop in and see all the glorious thread that they have and say hello!!!
I’d also like to ask that you all keep the people in Texas who have suffered greatly from the recent hurricane, in your thoughts and prayers!!
Happy Quilting!!!
