I started to make a list of all the quilts that I wanted to post about since the last I have written, and I was surprised at how many pictures I get to post for you to see the beautiful work of my customers!!!!
Here is Pat’s Civil War Quilt. We decided on an edge to edge design except for in the white sections, and I think it turned out marvelous!!! This was one huge quilt!! This was from Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Sampler Book.
Next on the frame was Jeanne’s Sampler quilt. This was also a very large quilt….measuring at 106” square. Again, we had decided to keep it fairly simple except in areas where the quilting will really show.
This quilt is called “A Nod to Kim Diehl” and was pieced and appliquéd by Pam. I was thrilled with how all of this turned out. I posted it on the HandiQuilter Facebook page and it was shared so many times that I told Pam that her quilt has been around the world already!! How fun is that!!! We used double batting on this to make the quilting pop!!
This “shoe” quilt below belongs to Pat Hersl (Quilting with A Hon). She used Pat Sloan’s block patterns and hand appliquéd all of those shoes. Didn’t it turn out great!!
Here is Ellen’s Four Patch Posie. The fabric used was Kaffe Fassett fabric and I love this!!
I also just did this Rose Quilt for Ellen, and since it was such a busy pattern with busy fabric, I tried to keep it to “simple and light” quilting. And for those of you who know me, that is a difficult thing for me to do….lol!!!
I have known Pam since we were both in our 20’s, and I recently quilted this quilt for her. I love the Americana feel to it and know it will look wonderful on her bed!!
I am already planning my next blog post, and hope to have that ready within the next couple of weeks. There is a lot to update everyone on, but I need to get my thoughts together first!! Hope everyone has a great week!!
Happy Quilting!!
