Round She Goes!!

I cannot contain myself, and hope that you all won’t mind me letting you in on my news!!!!!

I received an email Tuesday afternoon that the quilt below, that had been juried into the MQX Show in New Hampshire had won a ribbon!!  I was and am beyond excited.

Tonight I found out that I was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Emerging Entrant category.  What an honor!!!

This was made using a pattern from Thimble Blossoms called Round & Round.  The background fabric is a Moda Marble fabric, and the stars and binding are all Kaffe Fassett fabrics.  My quilt measures approx. 22″ x 22″.  I used a double batting…..bottom layer of Quilters Dream Poly and top layer of Quilters Dream Wool.

I also want to send a huge thank you to two wonderful ladies:  Amanda Campbell from Mariner’s Compass Quilt Shop, and Erin Underwood from Erin Underwood Quilts.  Both of these ladies took the time to take pictures for me at MQX and then sent them to me this evening!!  It was so hard knowing that a ribbon had been won and not being there to see it in person, but these two ladies made it more bearable!!!
