So today was the first day for the Maryland State Fair 2015, which was the perfect day to venture up to Timonium to see the quilts that were entered.
I was so excited to see that all of my customers who had entered quilts had all received ribbons. I apologize ahead of time for the quality of some of the pictures. They hang the quilts pretty high and sometimes it is hard to get a good shot of them.
These four quilts were by Ellen.
Here is a better picture of Nested that I had taken after it was finished being quilted.
This next quilt was made by Peggy of Peggy’s Sewing Center, and received a Second Place and a Best Traditional Quilt Overall Specialty Ribbon
The butterfly quilt was made by Gina and received a Fourth Place. The picture on the left is the quilt at the fair, and so you can see it clearer, I included a picture (on the right) I had of the quilt right after it had been finished being quilted.
The quilt below was made by Nancy and received a Third Place Ribbon. The picture on the left is taken at the fair, but since my picture didn’t turn out very well, I included a picture (on the right) of the quilt that I had taken after I quilted it.
I had personally entered three of my own quilts and was pleased with how they did also.
Here’s a better picture that I had taken at home.
There really were some beautiful quilts up at the State Fair this year!! I find it so inspiring to see all of these quilts and the different ideas that quilters have come up with.
Congratulations to all that entered and an extra congratulations to those that were awarded ribbons.
Happy Quilting!!
