Our October Island Batik Ambassador project is all about making something using a ByAnnie.com pattern. Using Island Batik fabrics and all of the bag making accessories from ByAnnie.com!!
Here is everything I received to make my project!!
I chose to make the In The Mix pattern, which was perfect as I needed a new cover for my mixer!!
I chose my main fabric and backing fabric from this line of fabric called Baroque. It is fabulous!!
For the pink accent fabric I used Wisteria-Pink Geranium from the Bamboo Blooms collection.
The first thing I did was to load the main and backing fabrics and soft and stable on my longarm and quilted it using a simple swirl pattern. There are directions for loading it on the longarm and quilting it, or quilting the pieces on your domestic machine.
Cutting out the pieces is easy with these patterns as they include little tags to pin to each piece and great cutting directions. The step by step directions are fabulous and so easy to follow!!!
These clips worked great for holding the pieces together when it came time to sew this entire piece together!! They are called Quilters Perfect Klips by Klipit.
Of course my Schmetz needles and Aurifil thread had no problems sewing these seams!!!
All in all, I am thrilled with this project!! Here are all four sides!!
It is sitting proudly on my kitchen counter hiding my mixer and all of its accessories!!!
Make sure to check out all the products at ByAnnie!!! They are wonderful!!
All of the Ambassadors are making something from By Annie this month. Make sure to follow them to see their projects too!!
