I recently received a couple of happy emails that I wanted to share.
Here’s the first one……..
“I took your beginner free motion class and loved it—you were well-organized, knowledgeable, and gracious! I had been looking at longarms and trying them out for a month at that time but was concerned if I could operate one well. When I took my work from your class home and showed my husband, he said that now it looked like I knew what I was doing☺️ In November I got a good deal on a new Millie but the attic had to be renovated, and that didn’t start until February and of course was halted. My husband volunteered several times to assemble it and I finally realized we were home for a while, I agreed. April 1 at 11:30pm I was able to meet and greet my Millie and thanks to you, I was not afraid of the big girl!”
Attached are some of my practice—I so hope I can have more of your classes. Take care of yourself
As a teacher, it is always so exciting to see someone who took one of my classes, just flourish with free motion quilting. Congratulations, Susan!! I cannot wait to see what you do with your new longarm!!!
Here’s the second happy email…….
“Hello – I saw a beautiful quilt on your site, beautifully quilted. As a long arm quilter I loved the white space which really allowed the quilting to pop. I was inspired to make a similar one myself. I plan on entering it in my local guild’s show, and would like to attribute the pattern to the maker. Can you tell me who pieced it, and confirm that you did quilt it?”
And here is another part of our email exchange……..”Thanks for your response. I too used the Latifah Saafir templates, but I loved Rhonda’s combination of the clams and orange peels, and how she laid it out. I also loved your quilting, and used quite a lot of it in mine. Like you, I had so much fun with it, and love seeing its bright colours when I come home. Thank you for the inspiration!”
Here is the quilt that Kerry made and quilted. It is gorgeous!!!!! It feels good that someone was inspired by the piecing and quilting of a quilt that I had a hand in, and then wanted to make one similar. Thank you, Kerry!!!
I hope everyone is safe and well!! Happy Quilting!!!!
