Sorry it’s been awhile since I have written. I got back from MQX and dove right in to getting ready for my next adventure. A little bit about that in a moment, but first I will share about MQX.
MQX was a great experience!! Not only is it a wonderful show, but the students are all so excited to learn. I had such a fun time teaching and getting to share with other quilters. I taught several classes, and while I forgot to take pictures in some of the classes, here is a sampling of what some of my students did.
This was a Beginner’s Free Motion Class in the Handi Quilter Avante room.
I can’t tell you how proud I was of these students!! Some of them had never even touched a longarm before, and they all did such a great job!!!
There was a drawing class….where I taught about thinking “outside the box” and letting fabric influence your quilting. The students in this class were great!! They all were willing to give it a try and I think they did a splendid job!! I’m hoping to get some pictures of some finished projects once they get them quilted!!
In this next class (Ordinary to Heirloom) we practiced micro-quilting and then worked on a pre-printed whole cloth project. These quilters knocked it out of the park with this class.
So for my next adventure…………..
On Tuesday, I am off to Germany to teach for Handi Quilter at the Nadelwelt Karlsruhe Quilt Show. How fun is that!!! I am nervous and excited all at the same time. I can’t wait to make new quilt friends in Germany and I will be sure to share my trip with all of you when I return.
I will be posting pictures on Facebook and Instagram throughout my time there, so be sure to follow me, and share my experiences!!
Happy Quilting!!
