This past week I had the honor of teaching at Festival of Quilts for Handi Quilter and Pinhole Quilting.
It was an awesome experience!!!
The show itself was phenomenal with so many quilt entries. Here are just a few.
At the Pinhole Quilting Booth I was tasked with interacting with customers……
And teaching one on one hands on classes. Here are just a few of my students.
It was such a blessing meeting everyone and I feel I’ve made some lifelong friends
and may have gotten an invitation or two to stay with people if I ever visit Ireland and England. How fun is that!!!
I may have done a little retail therapy while I was there too. You can’t go somewhere like that and not buy something to help you remember your trip!!
I also was able to purchase a couple of ice dyed fabrics from Handi Quilter Ambassador, Lynda Jackson. A huge shout out to her for being such a great friend!!
Also a special thank you to Handi Quilter and Pinhole Quilting for this awesome opportunity!!
Well, there’s my week in England. This week I’m busy prepping my teaching supplies to ship to Paducah for the Fall show. Next week you’ll find me at AQS Grand Rapids in the Handi Quilter Booth.
Happy Quilting!!
WOW! Where do the patterns come from that the quilters did? They are absolutely fabulous! Wish I had the fortitude, and knowledge, to do just 1 of them!
So glad you enjoyed your trip to Jolly old England and met some new “forever” friends!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jane,
Even though you were “working”, it looks and sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your trip! I love the exploding star quilt!
Thanks for sharing all of the pictures.
Great pictures! I think I saw the fabulous Cindy Needham from the US as your student at the sewing machine. How fun was that! It’s on my bucket list to attend one year😊
Laura – Yes, Cindy Needham stopped off at the booth to test drive a Sweet Sixteen!! She loved it!!! Definitely make sure you get to Festival of Quilts one day!! It’s definitely worth it!!
Hi Jane,
I would love to have the pattern for the exploding star. It’s BEAUTIFUL! Is the pattern available to purchase?
Thank you.
Irene
It is a beautiful quilt, isn’t it?!?!?! I do not have the pattern. This is a quilt I saw in the Festival of Quilts Show in Birmingham, England, when I was teaching there.
