What an honor it was to be an instructor at the first ever AQS Fall Paducah 2017 show!!
The day before classes started we decided to do a little site-seeing and a trip to Hancock’s!! Let’s just say I did some retail therapy!!!
The show was wonderful as were my students!! I just love sharing what I know about quilting, and was thrilled that so many students wanted to learn!!
I had three customer quilts that were juried into the Paducah show:
Congratulations to Ellen as one of her quilts (Summer of ’59), won a Third Place Ribbon in the Whimsical Quilt category:
My customer, Chris, had her beautiful Tula Pink Butterfly quilt hanging at the show. It looked beautiful hanging there. And while this quilt didn’t win any ribbons, it did actually make it onto the news!!

We did see a few fun sites on our drive home.
Have you ever seen a pumpkin this large?
We saw this castle along the way in Kentucky and I just had to pull the car over and take a picture of this!! Pretty cool!!!
All in all this was an amazing experience!!
Happy Quilting!!
I was in one of your classes st the Fall show, Jane. Your class and your workbooks have given me the confidence to take on quilting the UFOs I have sitting around. I’ve practiced in the workbooks every day and keep them by my home machine while quilting as a reference. I so appreciate the advice and encouragement from you. And if anyone reading this is considering a class with Jane – just do it! You’ll be glad you did.
Gregg – You just made my day!!! It makes me so happy to know that you are feeling more confident about your free motion quilting!! It’s also great to hear that the books are helping!! Keep on quilting!!!! Hope to see you again one day!! You did great in my class!!!
