I am starting a class on Beginning Your Journey In Free Motion Quilting (virtually), since teaching in person isn’t happening right now, and it is unlikely to happen for quite awhile.
This class is aimed at domestic machines and stationary longarm machines. However, if you are a moveable machine (stand up) longarmer, the designs taught in this class will still be applicable to what you do too and I will be glad to talk about that during class (or have a second FB live just for the longarmers).
If you have always wanted to finish your own quilts, then start your free motion journey at the beginning. Learn fun and easy designs that will allow you to finish your quilts with impressive results. Learn designs for every area of your quilt and start your journey in custom free motion quilting!
In my beginner class we go over a lot of information and it will break down like below. Don’t be surprised if I throw in some extra video some weeks!!!
Week 1: Discuss thread, tension, needles and batting and more
Week 2: Will start the quilting process and go over designs that work for overall or edge to edge designs.
Week 3: We will work on designs that fit into squares
Week 4: We will work on designs that fit into triangles
Week 5: We will work on designs that fit into sashings and borders
Week 6: We will talk about how the process is going and I will share some tips on how I go about deciding how to quilt my quilts and come up with a quilting plan.
Here are the details:
**6 week session thru Facebook on a private Facebook group page that I have created.
**Each week there will be a “Facebook Live” where I will present the lesson for the week. This will be available throughout until the FB group is taken down.

Hi! Thanks for the question!! I have done a little research and I am able to include kits in for USA and Canada students. Yay!!!!
I took a class with you at Spring Water Designs. Is this the same or does it have expanded content?
This is going to follow approximately the same curriculum as the class at Spring Water Designs. I may throw some other things in during the weeks of the class on the Facebook group page.
